FINRA fixed this for financial services: build the credentialing layer once, and the whole industry scales without re-verifying every transaction. Airbnb and Uber did the same thing with their own social currency - ratings. Recheck is building that currency for home solar and electrification, starting with verification.

Recheck's founders have built a unicorn, exited another, and spent a decade at the coal face of the energy transition. Tim and Garret met fifteen years ago at a climbing gym in San Francisco — fast friends who traded each other's software for free. They wanted to point their combined skills at climate, and learned about the solar deployment bottleneck through Garret's neighbour Chris, who'd built solar's gold-standard market intelligence platform.
